A mixed group (adult men and women)
is now forming in midtown, Sacramento

Aim of Group Psychotherapy The aim of group psychotherapy is to help with solving the emotional difficulties and to encourage the personal development of the group participants. Group therapy focuses on interpersonal interactions, so relationship problems are addressed quite well in groups. The group can become a source of support and strength in times of stress for the participant. The feedback which members get from others on their behavior in the group helps them see maladaptive patterns of behavior, change their point of view, and help them adopt more constructive and effective reactions. Structure and Frequency The group will comprise 6-7 members, meeting every week for an hour and a half. Start date and time to be determined. Leader Haim Weinberg, PhD, CGP, Licensed Psychologist in both California (PSY23243) and Israel, is an experienced psychotherapist who has recently moved to California. He is a Certified Group Psychotherapist with thirty years of experience in conducting psychotherapy groups. He is an president-elect of the Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society and Fellow member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association. He is the past-president of the Israeli Association of Group Psychotherapy. His special interest in group psychotherapy has included authorship of several articles and a recent book publication: The Large Group Revisited.
